MDB-10. EPIDEMIOLOGICAL PROFILE OF MEDULLOBLASTOMA IN MOROCCO: A 2-YEAR RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

Abstract Medulloblastoma is a malignant, invasive embryonal tumor of the central nervous system. This pathology leading malignancy in children, accounting for 30% system pediatric tumors. study aimed to present epidemiological profile medulloblastoma Morocco. It was retrospective including all children aged 0 16 years and diagnosed with at hematology-oncology department children’s hospital Rabat (Morocco) over two years, from January 1, 2021, December 31, 2022. A total 12 patients were included study, 7 boys 5 girls (M/F ratio 1.4). The mean age 9 ± 3 years. majority (91.7%) age. Only one child 18 months. half rural areas. Most cases living 30 Km center. Among them, 40% more than 150 km. low socio-economic level reported by 75% families. Two born consanguineous parents. familial cancer history noted 41.7% patients. Clinical symptoms dominated headache (83.3%) vomiting (66.7%). Regarding treatment, treated surgery seven combination surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy. During period there no death. good outcome 91.7% received palliative care. Childhood general, particular, on rise Given scarcity publications this type our country, national registry necessary monitoring appropriate management disease.
